Trips that
I lead myself

For twelve years I have gathered small groups and taken them to places I fell in love with myself: the Balkan, Melnik, Rome. No tourist conveyor belt — just stories, good food and people you become friends with.

see you on the road, Alina

Not an agency, but a person

My name is Alina Marinova, I am from Varna and have been a licensed tour guide since 2014. I worked at a large travel agency and learned there what I do not want: groups of 50, rushing, and hotels by the motorway.

So I plan every Alina Tour trip myself, travel the route beforehand and stay with you from the first minute to the last. When you call — I am the one who answers.

My story

Slowly, with taste and together

  • A small group

Up to 16 people in a comfortable minibus. We get to know each other in the first hour — and often keep travelling together.
  • Places with soul

Guest houses and family hotels I know personally. No giant hotels, no buffets.
  • Local food

We eat where the locals eat. The price always includes at least one dinner that I pick.
  • Time for you

The programme has room to breathe: free afternoons, unhurried coffee and optional walks.

What people write after a trip

  • I travelled alone and was afraid I would feel lonely. I came back with three new friends and a birthday invitation. Alina keeps the group together like a family.
Maria Ivanova, VarnaZheravna, Kotel and Elena
  • I had been to Rome before, but this time I actually saw it. A trattoria without a single tourist, Trastevere at night, and stories I still retell to my kids.
Nikolay Petrov, ShumenRome in four days
  • Everything was thought through — from the water on the bus to the bench where we waited for slower walkers. You can tell Alina had walked every metre before us.
    Elena Stoyanova, VarnaMelnik and Rupite

How to come along

  1. Pick a trip

Browse the calendar or write to me if you are unsure — I will tell you honestly whether it suits you.
  2. Book a place

You fill in a short request and within a day I call you to say hello and settle the details.
  3. A 30% deposit

The rest is paid two weeks before departure. If you cancel up to 30 days before the trip, I return the deposit.
  4. A Viber group

A week before departure I add you to a group with the other travellers — with the programme, a packing list and my tips.

Notes from the road

Notes from the road

Five places in Rome without tourists

After nine trips to Rome I have my own list: an orange garden, a market without souvenirs and a trattoria in Testaccio.

  • Tips

What to pack for a weekend in the Balkan

My packing list, tested over twenty weekends: from the shoes to a small torch.

  • Notes from the road

Granny Pena and the banitsa baked in embers

How a woman from Zheravna taught our whole group to roll pastry — and why we go back to her every season.

  • Tips

Travelling alone — but not lonely

Almost half of my groups travel alone. Here is how I make sure nobody is left out.
